George W. Bush:
Yes, you see — you see it on TV, and that's the power of an enemy that is willing to kill innocent people. But there's also an unbelievable will and resiliency by the Iraqi people…. Admittedly, it seems like a decade ago. I like to tell people when the final history is written on Iraq, it will look like just a comma because there is — my point is, there's a strong will for democracy.
And now we see the New Middle East:

Bush's intellect and eloquence amaze me!
Sen. John Warner, chairman of the Armed Services Committee, offered his bleakest public assessment of the war in Iraq on Thursday after returning from a daylong tour of the country:
It seems to me the situation is simply drifting sideways," Warner told reporters after completing his eighth trip to Iraq. "It was a markedly different trip from ones before. We just did not have the freedom and ability to travel where I have been before.
That war grinds on and we take distressing tolls of life and limb every day...
The admission that a panel has been in existence to seek alternatives to the current stay-and-fail plan advanced by President Bush is further proof that Iraq has become "just a comma" in the history of colossal Bush failures: Medicare reform, Katrina, record deficits, No Child Left Behind, North Korea, Iran….
